The Rincon Valley Union School District's Second Annual BiMathlon took place in early Spring 2006 at the Sonoma County Office of Education. The highest performing fourth and fifth grade math students, based on STAR scores and teacher recommendations, were invited to participate in this two-day event. BiMathlon's focus is on integrating mathematics with technology. Students, working cooperatively with partners and small groups, applied skills in number sense, measurement, geometry, statistics, and logic, in their work with computers, electronic probes, and robots.
